Pinterest(.com) is gaining huge popularity as more people are pinning more content. While Pinterest is a good way to share content and get referral traffic to your WordPress blog – few users may just do not want all this!

Specially in case of image intensive blogs, there can be copyright issues with their blog photos getting pinned by users on Pinterest. Fortunately, Pinterest has introduced opt-out mechanism to disable pinning of your blog content by any user. To implement this, add following code between <head> and </head>section:

 < meta name="pinterest" content="nopin" />

Once the above code is added, when ever a user tries to pin from your site – they will see following message:

“This site doesn’t allow pinning to Pinterest. Please contact the owner with any questions. Thanks for visiting!” [via Pinterest Help]
