Show Last Updated Date with post publish date in WordPress

If you often update old posts on WordPress website, then there must be mechanism to display date on which article was updated. While there is a manual way to write “update date” within post content but this can be time consuming. In this case, you can implement automatic method of displaying article update date along with article publish date.
‘WP Last Modified’ plugin to display update date
WP Last Modified plugin allows you to display article update date and publish date simultaneously. It automatically adds article update date at start or end of post contents (as per settings.)
As seen in above screenshot, we can see both article publish and article update dates at the bottom of the post contents. This is displayed using WP Last Modified plugin. Once you activate this plugin, goto Settings > WP Last Modified option.
It provide lot of options to customize the update date format and placement. You can select any of the date format and location for display at top or bottom of post contents. You can also make it display update date on posts or pages or on both. Handy plugin for sure to quickly add post update date without messing around with manual code.
